Do you have a hard time figuring out gifts for your significant other, father, or other male in your life? I know that for me it’s the most difficult shopping experience within my family. In my family we still do stocking stuffers for even some adults. Especially my Mother-in-law. She still loves to do them for everyone. I grew up on practical stocking stuffers and loved it as a kid. I have shown my husband the light of how awesome practical stocking stuffers can be as well. But still, even year I have to make a list of stocking stuffer ideas for the whole family. Today I’m sharing some ideas for stocking stuffers for dads.
Also check out my stocking stuffer ideas for Moms and Kids.
Dads + Games
Escape Room Games – These things are a blast! They are one time use game though. I cannot tell you how long it took me to convince myself that I could CUT a card the first time I played one. They are a fun family or friend activity.
Card Games – We are a game loving house. We don’t play as often as we’d like, but we are building up to it as the kids get older. Grab a fun card game, like Phase 10, or a simple deck of cards and a book about the different games you can play!
Suspend – We love this game. My husband and I played it years ago while out, and eventually bought it for the house. It’s a fun and challenging game with multiple difficulty levels. It’s also family friendly, though make sure not to lose any pieces due to littles!
Tenzi – What’s more fun than games the whole family can play? There are lots of ways to play Tenzi. A fast paced game of chance means fun for the whole family.
Dads + Outdoors
Compass – A fun, and simple thing to toss in a stocking for the man who loves to explore, as well as teach his kids how to get around in the world.
Stuff sacks/Dry Sacks – These things are great for all sorts of uses. My husband and I each have one with our 10 essentials outdoor kits that we keep in the cars, we have them for various outdoor supplies, and I even use them for extra clothing in the cars for messy adventures and accidents away from home.
Neck Gaiters/Buffs – These things are great and have options for cold and hot weather. My husband and I both have the Buff brand versions for keeping us warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer.
Paracord Bracelet – These are great to have on hand in an emergency. Not only do you have the strong cord available for use, but these specific ones have a compass and fire started included. My husband got a kit version that he was able to tie himself for extra fun and experience.
Books – For the man that loves to be outside, or wants to be outside more, find a book that suits his interest. The Lost Art of Reading Nature’s Signs can help him, and the family, learn about what nature is trying to tell us, and Bush Craft 101 teaches all sorts of survival skills and information.
Hammock in a Bag – Well, this one might require a LARGE stocking, but what’s more fun than relaxing outside in a hammock? Take it wherever you venture and set it up in a snap.
Dads + Travel
Yeti Travel Cup with Mag Lock Lid – Keeps cold things cold, and hot things hot. The mag lock does great with spills and it fits in cupholders!
Portable Charger – Having a back up option for a dying phone while out and about it super handy. And these things fit easily in a pocket or backpack pouch.
Wireless Headphones – A great option for the dad on the go. There are multiple options, high and low end, depending on needs and preferences.
Audible Gift Subscription – Does Dad love to read? Or maybe he just likes to listen? Audible would be a great way for him to get his reading in while traveling in any form.
Multi-plug Outlet – Who doesn’t hate getting to their destination and not having enough outlets where they need them? Try out this great plug that gives you more options in a small space.
Dads + Practical
Razors – Again, my family loves practical stocking stuffers. We love barely having to think about toiletries for the year. A pack or two of his favorite razors is a great option!
Hair + Body – Treat him to some nice shampoo or body wash options, or a set to maintain his precious beard. He may not want to spend the money on himself, but may love the pampering of using his new gift.
Vitamin Gummies – I don’t know about the Dad in your life, but my husband loves vitamin gummies as much as our kids. Treat him to his own stash and boost his immune system at the same time!
Dads + Food
Coffee or Coffee Subscription – If he loves coffee, try a bag of his favorite, a new flavor to try, or a subscription box to try a variety of flavors over the coming months!
Beef Jerky – Always fun to have on hand, or enjoy as a snack. Try a few different flavors or brands to taste test and enjoy!
Nuts/Mixed Nuts – This is a oldie but a goodie. Find a pack of mixed nuts, or just a bag of his favorite variety or flavor. Even Costco has a LARGE selection of options to pick and choose.
