Our New Home | Moving Back Home to Kansas

We moved!

 

Again.

For the 6th time in 8 years. Whew.

 

I feel like we are professional movers some times. Though not really, because MOST of those moves were company moves, which meant they did the packing, loading, and hauling for us. Most of those moves also did not include children…though two of them included a pregnant mama. I’m glad I wasn’t pregnant for this move!

We had always dreamt of moving back home to Kansas. It’s “home” for both of us. We hadn’t expected an opportunity to pop up so quickly though, so we were very thrown off track and had to regroup quickly. Obviously it’s a huge blessing to be back no matter what!

We found a great house that had just about everything we wanted: a large yard, space to play, and separate spaces for entertainment and the gym. It’s funny how we’ve always know our house needs would be different based on where we lived and whether we would have a lot of guests, or entertain a lot. We have had more gatherings in our house in the last month and a half of living here than we had in the 3 years of living in Texas! I love it!

Now the goal is to make it in one house for at least 3 years. We joke about it, but it would definitely be nice to stick in one spot for a while. Only time will tell!
